She Learned To Smile Later: A Photographic Novella

+
How gentle was the morning.
+
Thinking of family.
+
+
My radiant tutor. We would spend fun times together.
+
Teddy in bed.
+
+
I learned that some events were beyond my control.
+
+
The beauty inside. The terror outside.
+
Maybe if I had been a doll, I could process these thoughts.
+
My internal voice faded in and out like a weak radio signal.
+
New home.
+
Neighbors.
+
+
+
+
+
+
+
That slimy man.
+
Dream confusion.
+
Murky shadows shifted.
+
+
+
+
I saw myself looking in at her. Two of me.
+
+
+
Revenge satisfies the brain.
+
I ran from town among the fields.
+
+
Never before was I so aware of nakedness. Yet, guilt forces me to consider a disguise...perhaps a mask.
+
+
+
+
This new reality was still a strange fit like a broken typewriter that hesitates between constructing new words.
+
+
Grateful that I never forgot to play.
+
+
+
+
Sisters unite. No words.
+
I do not want to juggle the multiple personas. I am fifteen.
+
+
+
A spiritual world began to appear.
+
+
+
+
+
My guardian raven could foretell the future.
+
+
+
+
+
Trance journey. Human to spiritual world. She learned that smoke is believed to attract spirits.
+
Transformed night. Emotions now rule and many messages influence decision-making.
+
+
+
Luminous light invites, though deep chasms threaten.
+
+
A young fawn guards. Sleep, protection, calm.
+
+
This wild hair empowered me to "reach out".
+
A sense of weightlessness.
+
You're on stage, like it or not.
+
Dancing under the stars. Fantasy blooms.
+
Can I become secure for finding love?
+
My presentation to the public is through non-verbal communication.
+
+
Yes, I am an adult. I discover an exquisite elegant grown up guise.
+
I think I now start to flirt.
+
+
+
I learned to smile when I reached 30 years old.
+
Holding hands has to be one of the most romantic things a couple can do.
+
+
+
A feeling of self-worth. A connection to others.
+
+
A radiant new dawn.
+
+
Let me float.
+
+
+
The presistent grip of memories might darken on any sparkling day.
+
+
+
+
The golden aura of sunshine pulls me skyward.
